This program simulates a puppet on a swing. It also reports its height and speed. The bar graphs show the puppet's kinetic energy (KE), potential energy (PE) and total mechanical energy (E). You can change the starting position of the puppet (within reason).

Questions

1. As the simulation runs, watch the bar graphs. When is the kinetic energy (green) bar the maximum? When is the potential energy (orange) maximum? How does the total energy change? Does its height change? Explain.
2. Move the puppet to a different start position. What changes? Why?
3. Pause the simulation. Record the height, speed and PE and KE. Find the mass of the puppet.
